Meet your dietitian

Isabelle Goodwin
"Hi, please feel free to call me Izzy!
I have over 5 years experience supporting clients with eating disorders, particularly binge eating disorder (BED), as well as food intolerance and emotional eating.
I myself had a complicated relationship with my body and mind for a long time. After becoming a dietitian and seeing my clients' joy and light also be stolen by eating stress, I made it my mission to do what I knew I could...
To help you feel empowered, become a fearless eater and be confident in your own skin".

Get to know Izzy better...
In your spare time, where would we find you?
At the moment, renovating my 1970's house; exhausting but so rewarding! Otherwise you will find me walking around beautiful Tasmania (I walked the Overland Track in 2023), trying my best to tame my veggie patch and looking for the next delicious recipe to try.
Share one thing that would surprise people who don't know you.
I don't ban any foods in my house. I eat some form of chocolate most days; people don't expect that from a dietitian but my family and friends know this! I enjoy a range of foods and don't encourage anyone to obsessively control it; with a healthy relationship with food and being in tune with your body, you don't have to.
What's on your bucket list?
It changes all the time! But one that has stuck is wanting to grow most of my own food at home. I'm not one to say no to a bit of adrenaline so jumping off the New Zealand canyon swing is on there too.
What do you want people to know about working with you?
I truly practice what I preach on here and with clients; we're all human and none of us are perfect.
The relationship with food that I model and help my clients create means that we hardly ever stress about the food decisions we've made. We know that everything won't go to plan the first time but that's ok. We've learnt to trust our bodies more than any external measure. We have the freedom to focus on the things in life that GIVE us energy, not take it away... and I'm so proud to say many of my clients have achieved all of this.
